The Unexpected Guest, by Agatha Christie, is a thriller -- as well as a puzzler -- set in an estate shrouded in fog. The show opens as a stranger, trying to find shelter from the storm, stumbles upon a house in which a man has been murdered; his dazed wife is standing over his body with a gun. Her confession to the crime is so unbelievable that the unexpected guest decides to help her. They blame the murder on an intruder, but the police discover clues that point to a man who died two years before. From that moment, a Pandora's Box of love and hate as well as suspicion and intrigue is opened.
