When a nosy neighbor spies the vicar's wife (a former American actress) and an old colleague re-enacting one of their old love scenes, rumors fly and complications multiply. Add to the lineup four men in clergymen's suits, presenting the problem of who's who. Disguised as one, is an escaped prisoner and another a visiting bishop, who is aghast at the entire goings on.
