"A Piece of My Heart" recounts the tale of six women who fly to Vietnam on a wave of innocence and idealism only to have it replaced with panic. The play portrays each young woman before, during, and after her tour in the war-torn jungle and ends as each leaves a personal token at The Wall in Washington. Ms. Lauro turns firsthand impressions into a disturbing drama that evokes empathy for survivors as victims, especially the women in the war zone, whose only weapons were their hearts.
Notice: Due to Adult language and topics, "A Piece of My Heart" is recommended for mature audiences.
