Bobby Child, heir to a wealthy banking family, yearns to be in show business. He often escapes reality by conjuring up Follies Girls, only to return to face both his mother and his (soon-to-be-ex) fiancee. Both women can only agree on one thing: Bobby should focus on real life with them at the center of it. Faced with the ultimatum: "Family Business, Marriage, or bust!"
