Southside Theatre Guild is excited to present this special engagement!

As a special event, it is NOT a part of our regular season of shows and is not included in your season ticket.

Anna Leonowens, accompanied by her young son Louis, is employed by the King of Siam in the Royal City of Bangkok, to teach English and Western Philosophies to the royal family which consists of the king's many wives and many more children.

The new West and the ideas of traditional East clash in this heart-warming and witty musical. While Anna and the King come from seas apart, they both learn to speak the language of understanding and compassion towards each other. With memorable songs such as "Hello Young Lovers", "The March of the Siamese Children", and "Getting to Know You", along with the ballet "The Small House of Uncle Thomas", this is one musical that incorporates all the wonderful aspects of the theater experience.
